Crbon Deposits in Intake

Just did the egr mod & noticed there is some carbon deposits in the intake. Any sug. on cleaning?

Hose?

Just kidding. Do NOT use a hose. You sure it wasn't oil? Where did you notice it? On the inside of the throttle body blade?

It was in the egr tube and when I opened the butterfly on the tb, it was on the inside as far as I could reach.
