Well it's not the easiest thing to do but it's not that hard either. You just need to rent a puller unless you have one and make sure it's centered then just pull the sucker off (once the crank bolt is out of course). To install the new one you want a longer than stock crank bolt so you can use it to pull the new pulley on with. Don't try to install the pulley using the stock bolt b/c you risk stripping the first couple threads of the crank. Not worth it when you can buy a longer bolt for cheap.

Pro's: frees up horsepower/torque
Con's: spins your alternator slower unless you change the alternator pulley too which can cause your lights to dim sometimes at idle.

I just did an asp pulley with overdrive alt pulley. I would say an impact gun is a must.

My buddy and I did it on his car and with proper tools and a lift took us about 30min. total, you need new bolt and belts, ASP is a damn good pulley, no problems with mine so far, hope this helps.P.S. get a small pulley puller, alot easier

The bolt is a torque to yield bolt. This means don't reuse it.

If you have the CORRECT puller, getting the stock unit off is seriously a 5 min job after you break the crank bolt free.

Like others have said, don't try to use a stock length bolt to pull the new balancer on. Get a much longer bolt, or, get some all thread, install it all the way into the crank, and then use some washers and a nut to suck that thing on.

If your having issues, heat the pulley up a bit before you try to start it on the crank. It will expand and go on easier.
