QUICK ANSWER needed...MSD plug wire boot sitting on header..
I am in the process of putting some MSD wires on my car...thing is, I have SLP headers, and SLP has the #3 collector going almost straight back, so the longer MSD plug boot is sitting RIGHT ON TOP THE HEADER!
My question is, can I use the metal heat shields that were on the original plug wires to protect the boot from the header if it's sitting RIGHT ON TOP of it? Or will it overheat?
Thanks...need a quick answer if possible.

Re: QUICK ANSWER needed...MSD plug wire boot sitting on header..
I got MAC's and my #7 wire is sitting on the header
got 8k miles in 8 months, and no probs yet
the only problem i have is the cheap wires keep cracking near the coils' boot, from taking them off so much
