Default Will headers cause

I was talking to a few people about installing a set of Pacesetter headers on my car this weekend. A few of them were saying that the headers will cause thecylinder to run lean. Is this ture and is it possible for headers to do that?

I would not think so since the headers are after the exhaust stoke. I was just think that the exhaust flow would be greater. Maybe the O2 sensors may see more flow cause of them.

Normally they would make it run lean. However, I think moving the o2s further back causes them to actually add a little fuel. Im no expert but i read something like that here before. Maybe someone can go into more detail.

from what i've heard is that it will cause it to run lean. as soon as the 02 sensors notice this it will add fuel in closed loop to get it as close to 14.7.

now where this tends to cause problems, is that it will add fuel to your WOT tables the same amount and can make your WOT run rich as HELL!!!

Mine is doing this and I need to get it tuned bad, I have a few other mods (P&P TB, CAI, etc); but suffice it to say at WOT I almost look like a damn diesel and can smell the gasoline...

So basically the headers made you lean, the PCM compensated and probably is make you run rich (esp at WOT). And I believe blksbth11 is also right in you can also get more fuel from the 02s being farther back as well.

So the headers can cause to run lean at idle, but will run rich as HELL at WOT. The O2 sensors came welded in the pipes already, does Pacestter move the sensor back to compensate for this issue, or probally not.
