Question Underhood Temps with Stainless LT's

How much higher will underhood temps be with A Stainless Steel Header compared to a ceramic style coated header? Just curious because of FRC's and other engine dress up things. Thanks

I had coated shorty headers on the car before my stainless LTs. Im surprised but it actually feels cooler.

Before when I would cruise through town and stop somewhere I could feel the heat pouring out from the side/underneath the car. Now it doesnt does that, which im kinda wondering if it was the stock cats that were holding all the heat.

That's a good point, the engine temp does goes up quicker, but I haven't found that the engine runs hotter once it's up to temp. FWIW.

Intially the under hood temps might be a little warmer but they cool off very quickly. I can get back from a run and touch them in about 20 mins.

Good question. I will PM you a link of thermal comparisons between mild steel, 304, 321 SS and other metals. I have not seen any comparisons between a coated header and uncaoted SS. My guess is that if the company's that do coatings don't show any comparisons between the two then there must not be that much of a difference.
