Default Help fixing I-pipe to borla exhaust opening (need a reducer or something)

Okay, when i bought my Borla it did not come with the i-pipe to y-pipe connector so I had to fabricate my own by cutting the stock i-pipe but the problem is that the i-pipe is smaller than the Borla. I believe the stock I-pipe is 2 3/4" and the Borla is 3". Right now I have a clamp over them that doesn't really do that much. At high revs you can hear the pipes hitting each other making a very quick metallic hitting sound. I am now wanting to fix this after a few months.

What can I get to adequately connect the 2 3/4 pipe to a 3" pipe? I've looked around but can only find long 6+" tubes which are way too long. I need something small, like a clamp that goes from 2 3/4" to 3".

I've found silicone ones, but don't really trust silicone adapter on my exhaust, should I?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

When I did my exhaust I took a small piece of the stock 2 3/4" pipe to a muffler shop and had them flare one end to 3". Welded it in place... done
