Default custom CAI pictures needed

i've searched but couldn't come up with anything useful. i'm looking to make a cutom cai. i'd like to run it right behind my billet grill to one of those openings that is on either side and remove the styrofoam so it catches on-coming air from there. or run it to the open area that is right behind the fog lights. that might be easier but i dont think it'd get as much air. does anybody have any pictures of custom intakes? thanks a lot.

if you do a search for sux2bu ram air you will get the info your looking for. i did it to my car and gained almost 2 tenths and 2mph. it also lowered my iats down 5 degrees above ambient even idling in 90 degree heat. definitly a worth while mod. i don't have any pics but if you have any ?'s just let me know

the sux2bu setup looks nice. intead of running two hoses from the grille to the lid, i might just run one hose directly from the TB to the grille with a filter down by the grille. i just don't know if i want to delete my bumper support and washer fluid resovoir. if you guys could post pics, it'd be great!

that be great, man. i haven't looked into what all is removed with the bumper support. if you just remove the styrofoam, do you still have the meal for structure and protection?

i left the styrofoam and the actual metal support. i just cut the 2 holes in the metal support and the styrofoam and used the styrofoam to hold the rubber reducers in place

thanks man. Sux2bu answered all my question so it wasn't hard at all. at first i did it without taking the bumper cover off, but i wanted it to be cleaner so i mounted it to the cover and it looks much better

my car had been dyno and track tuned before this mod. at the track we were seeing 140+ iat temps while sitting in the staging lanes. i went to a dyno day just for fun to make a couple pulls. half way through the first pull the guy shut it down and called me over. the car was at 14.2 afr @wot. he said he wouldn't make any more pulls and to get it checked out. i brought it back to my tuner and he checked everything and couldn't find a reason for it. the only change was this setup. when it was blocked off the afr went back to normal.he couldn't believe that was the reason. now my iat's are no more than 5 degrees higher than ambient. this is a proven mod and cheap too
