Default Q about TDC and getting there.

I have to get piston #7 to TDC to change my spring, I know to crank the motor over, but my question is, do I have to remove ALL the spark plugs?? I'd like to remove all but #8 (for obvious resons), so could I just remove one side and still be able to crank the motor or is it going to be a bitch to just turn it with 4 in there?
thanks
-Steve

the only reason you should pull all plugs is to make it easier to turn over. tou could just remove #7 if you wanted.

It takes a good bit longer, requires far more effort and it's worth it to just pull the plugs IMHO

Yeah, pull as many as you can, it's pretty difficult to rotate the motor over with only one plugged removed.

I know it's hard, don't car about that, is it possible?

I do NOT want to pull all my plugs to change a single spring to find out I have a bent valve and the head has to come off anyhoo.

Take out 4, turn the crank, if it's too tough, remove a few more. Trial and error.
