Not sure where you got your info, but spend 5 mins searching and you will VERY quickly find that TrickFlow puts out one of the BEST heads for our cars. That kit is far from being a POS. You may be able to gain a few more horsepower by putting your own cam/components with the heads, but they are EXCELLENT heads. For someone looking for a winter project, i dont think you would be dissapointed with that kit at all! As far as an off-the-shelf package goes, it is very good. I wish I had the money, I would be buying one myself!

I bought this kit , but sold the cam and ordered a pat g. You cant beat the heads, and all the components are good. I had the heads milled to 61cc and bought a .40 cometic head gasket. I dont have it all installed ,, because i had a problem with the gaskets leaking and had to tear it down again. I am very happy with the kit , and anybody that says that it is crap doesnt know that these heads are some of the best heads you can buy for an ls1.
