No you do not need to fly cut if if you using a stock head. If you have milled heads then you might run into an issue.

aftermarket heads will depend on the type of head, valve size and if htey are milled.

and the cam has only been out for 3yrs.....of course people have it.

search the dyno section....its actually a very popular larger cam.

There is NO NEED TO FLYCUT this cam on factory heads. As far as aftermarket heads, it just depends which one you are looking at. If it is a ported GM casting that has aggressive milling or larger diameter valves, you will need to flycut. However, several of the aftermarket casting heads including the PRC castings, AFR 205, and TFS heads should clear without issue.

As for the performance of the cam, it was designed as an all out cam for stock cubes. It will pick up in the neighborhood of 80+ FWHP with the correct supporting mods. It can be daily driven but if bottom-end power or like stock driveability is what you are looking for, I wouldn't recommend this cam. We can get you setup with the right cam for those goals as well. On the other hand, if you are looking for everything you can get HP wise out of your engine, there is no need to look any further!

Let me know if you have any question and we'll get you fixed up asap!

Make sure you guys understand that this is a big stall and big gear cam. You auto guys are going to want to use 4000-4400 stall but some have gotten away with 36-3800 stalls. Gear wise 3.73-4.10 is what you should be looking at. I would not reccomend putting this in your 3000 stall 3.23 rear gear car because you are not using the full potential of the cam.

What if you put this cam in a stock 04 LS6? Different heads then LS1 same cubes.
