Default thinking of another cam swap (is this too small)

That cam (224/231- 112)is nice and all but.... ... well i just put my bottle in(man i LOVE NITROUS ) and since im in Ca i was considering instead of doing a STOCK CAM SWAP every 2 years to pass smog... I WAS THINKING 226/226-114

WOULD i see any gain? yeah i understand that the 226 wont "like the bottle" as much , but i want something a lil bigger THAT WITH THE RIGHT TUNE............. WILL PASS SMOG, so i dont have to continue to go in the motor all the time. ( one every year or two)

You would have to be spraying a whole lot of nitrous to NEED a cam designed for it. I mean for you to reap the benefits of the cam you need to be spraYING ABOUT 200 or more. If you have the ability to tune the car you may be able to make it pass W/o have to swap cams. We do it pretty frequently.

ok wait a minute........killer01ws6: pm me if your serious...

jeremyF: i thought ANY cam on a 112 lobe would not pass the sniffer? plus i just have that urge to go a lil bigger...... so my question is still will a switch from a 224/231- 112 to a 226/226- 114 be worth it,(h.p. wise!) (besides the fact that i THINK with the right tune it will pass smog)

can a 226 even on a 114 pass emissions though? I say stick with you original cam or maybe step up to something really big like the g5x2.
