Would you buy a used cam with 10k on it?
The thunder cam I have been wanting to get for ever but just havent had the money for is for sell in the classified section. $200 The only thing is that it has 10k on it I mean my stock cam has 70k on it and im guessing its still ok. Is there any reason I should'nt buy this cam? Can A cam be worm out or damaged with out the engine blowing?
TIA , Justin

Roller cams don't wear like the "old style" cams. I bought mine used w/6k on it. If it came out of a motor that was still in one piece, I say, go for it.

Be sure that the cam doesn't have any bad nicks in
the contact surfaces/journals, and that it's in
generally good condition.
If I can find a good condition cam with the spec's
I want for half price(used), I wouldn't hesitate.
In fact, used cam's are all that I've been running
in my car over the last year and a half.
and I've don'e quite well with them.
