Oil pump w/ heads/cam setup...
Hey guys,
Should I be purchasing a new oil pump with my heads cam setup? I already have the pushrods, timing chain setup, and have a gasket setup on the way, hopefully. I know I still need head bolts and a few misc. things; is there any complete list of everything i'd need for the install, assuming all I had was the cam and the heads? Additionally, I wanted to know if I should be getting an oil pump with the install? I've heard horror stories about the stock one seizing up or something. Thanks
Mike

if your doing the timing chain then it dont hurt to put in a new ported oil pump since the oil pump will be off anyway migh as well replace it.
yours should still be good though seein as how you have an 01. make sure you gets some new o-rings for the pump if you indeed do swap it out.
