Default head swap questions

is ls2 heads on an ls1 a direct swap? if not, what has to be done? Will there be much of a gain over the ls1 heads?

should be a direct bolt on...

they are basically ls6 heads with slightly different valves i think.

should flow a little better than stock ls1 heads...but it will depend on the rest of the engine as to "how much" they gain you.

stock cam...maybe 10hp...bigger cam 15-20hp.

According to the GMPP catalog:

LS1, LS6 and LS2 heads will fit an LS1 and LS6 block

LS1, LS6, LS2, L92 and LS3 heads will fit an LS2, L92 and LS3 block.

LS1 / LS6 blocks are 3.89" bore

LS2 blocks are 4.00" bore

L92 / LS3 blocks are 4.065" bore

found this on a corvette forum
