Default parts for changing lifters, etc

so after my cam install i have a pretty healthy lifter tick problem and changing to heavier oil only made it take longer to tick...so my only rationality is to just tear into it and replace the lifters but im curious what parts i will all need to get it done other then the obvious (lifters)...so what bolts, gaskets, etc will i need?

i want to put the smallest headgasket possible on it as well to bump up compression a bit, what would you recommend?

any help is appreciated, thanks!

You'll need head gaskets, head bolts, lifter trays, coolant, oil, oil filter. If you haven't lately change the plugs. Also have you removed your intake before and not changed the intake manifold gaskets?
