Default crank sprocket

I'm in the middle of a cam install and bought an adjustable timing set. this set has the adjustable cam gear with the bushings, so i'm wondering if i need to change the crank sprocket? and if i do, is there an easy way to get it off?? Thanks

You can buy the correct tool for about $14 off of fleabay but of course it will take a few days to get. Some have used a small three jaw puller. You should change it so that all parts are new/matched and wear in together. The crank side is the chain wrap side so that is more important.

i bought a small two jaw puller from harbor freight that worked just fine. i found it was hard to get a three jaw puller positioned right.

I took mine off with my hands

The crank was cut at a machine shop so I don't know if they pulled it off before machining and it loosened it up or something
