Default Dots on pistons

Fixin to install my pistons and rods. the machine shop has one set (4) pistons on the rods with the dots facing towards the back and one set facing the front.. do i need these turned around?

The OEM pistons have an offset pin, all dots need to go to the front. The connecting rods bearing tangs all need to face the drivers side of the engine also. The LS1 is different from your conventional SBC, etc. I'm guessing your machine shop has 1/2 reversed.

In other words, piston/rod assembly for #1 should match piston #2, and can be used in either bank.
