I am up in the air on which stroker package to use. the 396 will make more power than the 383 but from what i gather the rod to bore ratio on a 396 is a bit out of whack. with such a short rod and long stroke the rod angles are pretty hard, causing extra stress on the cylinders and block. has anyone used a 396 and what are your opinions?

I would not rec. going any larger than a 4.00 inch stroke. Unless all you want is TQ because it won`t rev too fast. And yes plenty of extra stress. If you want more cubes go with a bore.
