Default The right bottom to match the top.

Right now i have ls6 heads and a ms4 cam for my 98 z28. I have a little extra monney so i figured what the hell ill build the whole motor while im at it. Im tring to figure out what would be a good match for the top end i have. I was thinking either an iron block 408. or stock block 383 stroker.
Ive heard that the 408 is to big for some ported ls6 heads but i dont know.

P.S. I want to spray the motor, 150+ shot.

IMO bigger is always better. Yes those heads will work with that cam and the 408. I have a customer who took our 408 short block and put stage 1 LS6 heads on top, ms4 cam made 470/440 with an LS6 intake.

It's not that its to big, its that some heads dont flow enough to allow it to reach it's maximum

lq4 or lq9 is the 6.0 iron block so either is fine.

I definately prefer the 408 over the 383. We typically stock 40 short-blocks & will be running a special on them next week! If we can help you with your combo please give us a call. I'd be glad to help anyway I can!!
