Cometic head gaskets with .595 lift
Hey yall i am not sure where to put this and this i think is the best spot for the question.
How much can i tighten the squees and bump compression with the cometics and what could i go to without running into issues with valve to piston clearance with the .595 lift in the cam. Is it worth it to pull the heads to change to cometics or is it not that big a difference for that much work.
I know nothing about the cometics and what thickness do what for compression, please school me .

IT has i think 233 234 duration
somehwere in there.
I need to know cause i am looking to up the compression as much as i can with teh gaskets and since i am gonna be doing a cam install when i get back to the house i figured while i am in the engine bay pulling things apart why not bump the compression a little to.
If its not worth the ammount of compression i will get over the ammount of work it will take i wont do it but id like to get a little more torque.

If you are already pulling the heads for something else than sure its worth using a thinner gasket for more compression. If it was me I wouldn't pull the heads just for a gasket change though.
We would need to know your cam specs (duration) and how much your heads are milled if any to determine how thin of a gasket you can use.
For what it's worth, my heads are milled to 62cc, .040 cosmetic gasket, and a ~230/238 duration cam and it clears the stock pistons.

I appreciate the replies yall and i would never take your reply as an *** reply matt, i asked to be schooled on this and you gave an honest answer.
I am just gonna wait cause i already changed the heads to the ones in the sig so i will just wait till i have to change the internals when the piston rings go out.
Thanks again yall i really appreciate it.
