push rods
what are the lengths of the stock pushrods in a 98t/a and would i need shorter if i'm having my heads ported and polished and milled 50 thousandths. Also will my stock rockers and springs work with a new cam or will i need new ones and if so where would i get them and what kind? I'm thinking of going with a cam with about 595 lift maybe a little more
I'm a bolt on king but i'm internal stupid.
thanks in advance

Stock PR's are 7.4" length. If you are milling that much, you'll almost always need shorter ones, from what I've experienced. As for the stock springs, forget it. They'll be no match for a lift that high. You'll need to get some good dual coil springs and opinions will differ on which ones are best. Someone will chime in with recommendations, I'm sure. Stock rockers will be fine. Depending on which springs you use, you may not be able to retain stock lifters from spring pressures. Just do your homework first and you'll be all smiles after the cam swap!

We measured a set of stock pushrods out of my 98 with a micrometer. They are exactly 7.385" long.
That's .015" (15 thousands) shorter than a set of Comp Cams / Thunder Racing 7.40" rods

if you are putting a comp cam in or someones whos is a comp cam..the base circle will most likely be .030 smaller on the radius and "IF" the stock rods are exactly .015 shorter..the stock rods will be fine in your case..that puts you at .045 short on the cam and rod end..only leaving a .005 head difference
