Default Heads/cam 377 stroker LT1 vs heads/cam 6.0L rivalry...

Some kid at a friend's party was going on about how uber great his heads/cam 377 stroker LT1 is. He cranked up that all mighty 377 cubic inch LT1 in his 94 Firebird to impress all his friends with the sound of the motor and claims to take 95% of the heads/cam LS1 cars out there. He claims he will "put a hurtin' on my 6.0L C4 Corvette. Anyways, his mods are:

Professionally ported LT4 heads with the 2.02"/1.60" valve combo
Ported LT4 intake
1300 cfm monoblade throttlebody
Stock 4" bore with Callies 3.75" stroker crank
11:1 compression
CC306 cam
Comp 1.6 roller rockers
1 3/4" Headman headers + X-pipe, 3" exhaust
built T56 6-speed with 4.10 gears.
Basic weight reduction (removal of back seats, spare tire, etc...)
Car weighed 3500 lbs with him in it.

I've seen him run 7.2xx @ 94.xxx mph consistently on Nitto drag radials in the 1/8th mile many times so I'm a little nervous about lining up with him until my motor is all broken-in and tuned to perfection.

On the other hand, me and a friend are still putting together my my iron 6.0L that will be going into my C4 Corvette. The estimated weight of the car will be about 3300 lbs with me in it. My mods are as follows:

TSP PRC ported LS6 heads
Pro-Flo XT intake manifold
90MM throttle body
11:1 compression
MS3 cam
LS1 C4 headers + H-pipe
built automatic 4L60E with PI Vigilante 4000 rpm stall with lock up
shitty 3.07 gears.

What do you think the result of this race would be? I'm kinda anxious to get this done to see how I'll do...

FWIW, I do keep on hearing that the LS1s are just a much better built motor in general than the old LT1s and SBCs so that automatically gives them an edge against the old school crowd...

LOL with his little cam and modest heads I thoght you`re screwed ... but when I read that you have great heads and cam on a 6.0 with good compression and a 4K stall I laughed ..... he`s screwed ^_^

Geez I absolutely cannot wait until this car is done. If a cam only, internally stock LS1 F-body can run high 7s and trap 90-94 mph in the 1/8th mile, I'd sure hope that with my 11:1 compression, TSP PRC ported 243 heads + MS3 cam setup will trap at least 100-105 mph or more...
