3. what do i need to do about springs?
4. how soon will it have to be tuned will it run ok for a a couple of weeks or will it have to been tuned right away?

any cam over a 215/220 type cam really needs a tune...ur wasting ur cam if u do a 224 and no tune.
I run an X1 on my daily driven A4 w/just a good tune and even the AC doesn't give me problems.
