Help me pick a new cam for my Terminator Heads...
I currently have the MS3 and I want a more low to mid power cam. Looking for something that will work well with the Terminator Heads (200cc runners with a 62cc chamber) and Fast 90/NW92.
throw me some ideas guys...

go with a custom cam...theres no need to buy an off the shelf in my opinion, if you do that you can get the specs geared a little more torwards low end, obviously big cams arent gonna make **** down low no matter what the specs, but u can prolly sqeak a little bigger cam in with a custom than off the shelf and still get the same low end...hope that makes sense, it barely makes sense to me but i know what im trying to say...

Cam in signature.
With the Fast you could probably go slightly bigger (or no advance). My peak Hp is ~6000-6200 Rpms..you could probably get it to spin a little higher and still have your mid-range torque.
Those heads kinda give you an advantage down low and through mid-range.. so having a cam take to help on the top end overall does not sound like a bad strategy...so just depends on what you are after.
Hope that helps. It is just one experience, and again my combo is a little different.
Good luck.

thanks for the inputs...NAAII, Ive been pondering doing a custom cam.
weatherman, are you still running the ls6 intake? I know there was something about the terrmy heads having problems fitting the 90mm due to the ports...sometimes I wonder Im having issues due do that. Anyway, I also have 3.90 gears Id like to see a dyno graph of your motor if you have one. What cam is that you are using weatherman?

Yea I will post it up later this evening when I can access my home computer.
Yes, LS6 intake. Aware some people had problems with matching up the Fast 90..I think the problem was corrected, but of course I never encountered that problem.
The cam was a custom cam spec'd by Predator-Z. Simple to order through Comp Cams. 228/232 110+2 XE-R lobes.
I'll post up graph later..

Oh the beauty of computers and remote connection.
This was the original dyno run right after head/cam install which was done at Texas Speed. A few notes to clarify. Run was with 3.42 gears at the time.
Correction was STD. And it was computed in mph instead of Rpms. No pulley, No ported TB. LS6 intake.
The second attachment was my own 'Excel' mathematical conversion from STD to SAE, mph to Rpm's..and TQ curve.
Your free to look it over. Again my combo was designed to be used 95% of the time on the street..and just to have fun.

Thanks for posting the info weatherman...yeah I dont think Im too effected by the head port deal. I got these heads in 07 when there were just coming out and didnt know about it. Anyway...I think Im gonna get with some of the above mentioned by MM98 and see about getting a custom done for what would work best for what I want.
