Should i go bigger w my cam?
i'm running the Tsp 228R right now (228/228 588/588 111Lsa) it a great street cam but i want something thats gonna make a lil more Hp n TQ. i'm considering something in the 232/234 6**/6** range. what would be a nice step up from what im running now. also i plan on putting a dry 100shot on it this winter so keep that in mind. car made 417hp/399tq

It ought to have an insane pull with that shot. I dont think you would hardly feel any difference after swapping cams, hence why I think your money is spent better elsewhere. You are already making great power for cam only.

If your adding a shot of N2O you might get away with a set of 317. They have larger chambers 71.6CC to be exact. The 317s have the same valve size as the 243s even though they are made for the truck line. The flow numbers are dam close and the 317s actually outflow the 243s through the mid range, and getting them to flow like 243s up on top should be very minimal work. I am sure that the 317s would be good, you will drop compression to about 9.5:1.

I was thinking of using N2O myself (150 ws) and the guy who sets up N2O in my town told me I would have to run a minimum of 100 Octane any time I wanted to use it, and I am running 10.5:1 compression.

Do NOT swap heads that will lower CR, or do anything to lower your compression, unless you plan to go FI. Compression is your friend when it comes to making power and torque, especially so in a NA setup.
I ran 11.34-1 CR for about 3 yrs and I never ran anything but pump 93. Many people run 11 to 11.5-1 CR on pump fuel.
When you spray it, you can dump some race fuel in for added safety, but with a small shot, the correct heat range plugs, and tune, it's not a necessity.

I would look into a set of AI ported 241's! A guy on this site with an o4 gto m6 put down
417whp with the STOCK cam running those heads.
