Default 383 with afr 225's hp?

Putting the 383 back together, new bearings, but instead of the stock 853's going with the afr 225's, 72cc chambers roughly 10.5 comp. Motor is carbed(750 holley double pumper), vic jr intake, and an ms3 cam tight lobe separation. On the stock 853's it made 415 rwhp. What should I expect?

I made 465/410 on my 382 with TEA TFS 215 heads.
Something to go by, maybe.

Why only 10.5 CR?

I would bump the compression and look for 40+ at the tire....maybe more.

You wont be disappointed Im sure

415 is an excellent number with your drivetrain. My guess is that 225 and similar heads should be worth 40-50 hp at the flywheel. You might squeeze more out by bumping the compression up in the 11.2:1 range to work better with that cam.

That said, you're probably looking at 25-30 more hp at the tires...
