Depends. Are they ported? 317's will have a lower CR than the 241's.

Both are as cast, i knew the 241s would bump the cr up, guess i was wondering if the gain in compression would out way the lack of flow?

a quick touch up by any shop will make them outflow the 317s...could be worth it.

I think the 241's would probably make more power due to compression but I don't know if it would be worth it. There won't be enough gain on as cast heads to justify the swap if the motor is currently in the car. We could CNC them for you if that is something you are looking into doing. Let me know and I can get you some pricing.

The motor is not in the car,im just getting stuff together for my swap into my 69, was just waying some options. I had emailed you a couple of times about cam recomendations, you were more than helpfull. The reason i was asking about the 241s is a buddy of mine has a set laying around from his goat(he went with your 5.3 2.5 heads) and he had MS3 cam so they already have good springs, i know they would be easy to swap to the 317s just a cheap *** trying to get by without spending a bunch of money.
