Default Futral F11 or Vengeance VRX4

I have narrowed it down to these. They are very similar in advertised specs. This will be going in an 01 LS1 with stock heads. Is one going to be noticably different than the other? How do they compare in valve events and static cr etc? My car has a built 4L60E with a Yank SS3600, 3.73 gears, headers etc. My previous setup was the stock 98 engine with a Futral F4 and the above mods that ran 11.9 @ 114.xx

FMS-F11-114
FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 228"/230" .576"/.595" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 2200-6600 RPM range, fair idle

VRX4
228/230 .588/.592 112 LSA. 1900-6700 RPM Power Band. Serious mid range and peak power. Excellent choice for street applications. Computer Tuning is required. We suggest Comp 918 or Dual Gold Springs be used with this camshaft.

I'm running the vrx4 and absolutely love it!! I'm a M6 tho so I dont know if your looking for auto guys or not. It has really good street manners, good choppy idle, and the mid range is definately described well from vengeance. Honestly its good all around really IMO.

The 2 cams are on two different lobe designs. Futral cams use Cam Motion lobes and the X4 is on an XE-R lobe.

The Cam Motion lobes are going to be smooth, and provide slightly better idle quality but the power difference will be slim to none. They'll both make about the same power.

FWIW, my old FM13 (230/232)/114LSA cam idled about as smooth as a TR224 cam.

From what I know the cam motion lobes are a little more valvetrain friendly.......

Detoxx runs the F11 with stock 241's and a ported FAST and made 420rwhp with a yank ss3600, tuned at Futral.

I run the VRX4 with stock 243's with a ported FAST and a yank ss3600 and made 429rwhp, with a TSP mail order tune.
The power under the curve with my cam is unbelivable.

Great info thanks. I don't see much of people using the F11, but tons of info in the VRX4.

Can I vote? Seriously, although I am biased either camshaft would work well with your combo. While they are slightly different overall power/drivability would not be noticably different.

Might help to know we have all Comp products 10% off thru March

I put down 385/375 through a 9", 85mm fast toys lid/maf, hooker 1 3/4, true duals, UD pulley, LS6 intake, P&P TB, plus it was pulling 4* timing due to knock with maxed out 26lbers(which were supposed to be 28's. bought the car used and didnt know they were swapped) and an incomplete tune. Now it has 28's, no knock retard, and the tune is dead on. Waiting to get back to the dyno to see what its actually putting down now. Not that it matter's really. It's an M6 laying down 11.6's cam only at full weight. So I'm happy with it overall. I went with vengeance based on reputation cause I've never heard one thing bad about them at all. And have seen many of their products get the job done.

I figure it should be closer to 400rwhp the next time, but the track times are what I'm more interested in. Plus the driveability is great. Took it on a 10hr trip without any problems whatsoever.
