We can sit here all day and tell you it will "fit". Measuring is the only way. QUICK ANSWER: Don't blame me if it doesnt, but I have run alot bigger on milled heads and there was no issue. It will work, but is it the cam you want to use for whatever you are going to be doing? Most cams "work". We are going to need a history of what all the car has and what the future holds for it as well to give you a better idea.

So true, but why is that, is it because of better tuning or is it that more people are willing to sacrafice drivablity for alittle more top end nowadays?

depends mainly on how good your tuner is and what your willing to work with. I had the ms4 in my car and drove nearly stock, had mild bucking below 2k every now and then but nothing to frown against. I just hate what it takes to make a big cam useful and I'm going custom grind this time.

To the OP, that cam isnt big at all really and would most likely fit just fine but as stated measure to be sure.

I daily drove a 347ci heads/cam (TREX V2) with an aluminum flywheel...that was fun! Your cam will fit just fine...On the stock 1998 shortblock and heads, I ran a Comp 238/240 .605/.609 112 LSA and turned it to 6800 rpms. You will be fine.

You probably had less clearance than you wanted. Did you not run a relief of any sort?

OP - If you can easily check the clearance its a handy piece of info to have if you ever wanted to change anything up. You would be able to know what your limits are personally and physically.

Little late w/the reply, but other than lift durations, thats the SAME cam I've got with my 241s and I've got near 10K miles on it. It'll work.

am running a 23X/24X custom grind by Ed Curtis and I have no issues. Ed said it would fit, I still measured and am happy with the results.
