Head/Cam swap Question (Texas Speed)
If I bought the PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads with a tsunami cam 235/240, .654"/.609", 111 LSA from texas speed, would I need to fly cut my pistons? What's the biggest cam I could go with to avoid fly cutting? Also can you run a ms4 with stock heads, etc and no fly cutting? Thanks.

theres a lot info on how big you can go and even a lot specifically about the MS4 and whether or not you should flycut... try a search
EDIT: 30seconds with the search button. "MS4 flycutting" brought me https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...5-ms4-cam.html
heres one to answer the first question...
hope that helps

your going to be super close. I was told by texas speed I would be ok but close and it turns out I was way to close.
You just need to look up how to measure your PTV and do NOT rely on some ones guess with your investment.. It would have cost me alot of time and $$$ if i ran my motor with out checking

It can be setup to clear. With any setup, you need to measure PTV and pushrod length to ensure everything is setup properly PRIOR to starting the motor. You need to specify when you order as to what cam you are putting with the heads so we can set them up to maximize your PTV. We have numerous customers running that combo without an issue. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns and we'll get you fixed up!

So if I just order the h/c package on the website will you know to set it up correctly or should I just call and talk so someone? Also, I don't necessarily have to be sold on the huge cam, I just want something that makes decent power and I was hoping for 450rwhp.
Thanks, Mike
