Default 806 heads are they worth anything?

I have been looking for a set of heads for my 98 and found some but they are 806 castings that have been P&P and the guy has flow numbers. I have no idea what they are supposed to flow but his reply was this....Heads complete with flow numbers 284 cfm intake and 193 exhaust @ 700 and 28 inches of water by Kim Barr Racing Engines and 806 casting number. Intake is 2.02 and 1.6 Exhaust.
I can get the heads all acc. broken block, starter, intake, maf, non stock cam, and he said that the motor made 510 with the heads and cam combo..... it is really a pretty much a pullout engine all included for 650.00 Looking to resell most to recoup some money but dont know if it is worth it.

He is giving you numbers @ .700 lift so unless your cam hits .700 lift then those numbers are worth less. Also what cam was he running and I am sure the heads and cam are a match so to say that you will make the same HP with any other cam that is not matched you are kidding yourself.

Casting Numbers 241, 806, 853
Head: 1997+ LS1 5.7 Liter Passenger Car
Material: Aluminimum
Part Number:
12559806 (1997-98) Chambers = 69cc
12559853 (1999-00)
12564241 (2000-03)
Combustion Chamber Volume: 66.67cc
Compression Ratio: 10.1:1
Intake Port Volume: 200cc
Exhaust Port Volume: 70cc
Intake Valve Diameter: 2.00 inches
Exhaust Valve Diameter: 1.55 inches

Stock Head Flow Numbers
Chamber 66.67 cc------0.100--0.200---0.300---0.400---0.500---0.550--0.600
Intake 200 cc------------67----122-----178-----215-----219-----223---227
Exhaust 70 cc------------52-----97-----133-----156-----170-----76----180

Again you want numbers no higher than what the cam you are using because anything above that is as useless as using a condom with a girl after getting her prego.

Oh and the most important part that I forgot the 806 casting heads are perimeter bolt pattern not center bolt pattern so they will not work on the newer LS block engines unless you do the center bolt conversion and that is beyond me why would any one do that for those heads.

nobody is seeing this from the OP's position.

first off, 806 heads are just as good as any other LS1 head. the only draw back is the valve covers. these heads are going on a 98 so he already has the valve covers. no problem there. if they were going on a 99+ car, all he would have to do is change the valve covers to 98 style. actually a money making deal because the centerbolt VC's are more expensive than the perimeter bolt VC's.
