Reusing Bolts?

Default Reusing Bolts?

I have 2000 Trans am and i need to know what bolts are resuable and which ones i need to get. Because my motor is all stripped down to the core lol . so i need some help. Thanks

anything that is tq to yield you'll need to replace. depending on your build up consider some ARP bolts.

If the motor is apart seems like a good time to upgrade to ARP rod bolts. And replace the tq to yield bolts as JRP mentioned.

Well, that really helps him a lot. I know the head bolts and the crank bolt for sure are TTY bolts. I'm sure someone else will know what other bolts, if any, are TTY.

I have another question how do i determine or do yall know which diamond piston rings to get because that **** confuses the fk outta me and im not sure which ones i need because i dont wanna order the wrong ones .. thanks for the imput tho on the bolts

Call Diamond directly and tell them your setup.That is the safest way to get what you want...You can reuse all the cover/accesory bolts.Head/crank/balancer bolts need replacing.

The TTY bolts are the heads and mains. Youll want to replace the heads bolts (I would get studs), mains, Rod bolts (known for many failures) and you can do the crank bolt too, but I dont justify the $25 vs $3 for a stock bolt.
