Default Need help with cam install!!!!

I have a 98 z28 camaro with 50k miles on it. I just bought a TR224 cam, Patriots gold dual vavle springs, and TR 7.4 pushrods. I wanted to know do i need to change my stock lifters, timing chain, and oil pump or can i use the stock ones i already have? The motor doesn't have my miles on it so was wondering would the stock stuff be ok.

lifters can wait till you get some heads and some will say to get a ls2 chain and ls6 pump but when i did my cam my car had only 28,00 miles so i kept my stock chain and pump. ive had no problems but my car isnt daily driven either. if you drive yours alot, then replace the chain and pump just for added piece of mind.

Make sure you take the Pushrods out and spin the Cam over a couple of times before you pull it out.

98 stuff is known to fail so I'd replace it while you're in there. Better to do it now than doing it twice later, I always say. An LS2 chain and stock LS6 pump will fit the bill, don't need anything fancy.
