Why idle so high? Is that where the X3 idles 'cause my X2 idled at ~800-850, I think... maybe a tad lower with no problems

Could have done without the music. I really wanted to hear how it sounded inside the car with the windows up. Are you running the stock Z06 exhaust with the headers?

I had the idle at 900RPM but wanted to smooth it out some so raised it to 950. It idled with the stock tune at 800RPM, it just loped pretty hard.

I had my movie maker set to fade in the background track when there was no foreground sound from the video. With the windows up you really can't hear the engine much. I do have the stock Z06 cat back on the car with the LG Pro headers with no cats. I'll post up the idle clip by itself without the sound track...

Nice video. I still can't get over how tame that car is and there is no surge problems. I know that cam must have a lot of duration too. Truly amazing. Are you still running the stock gears?

I think I heard your car last saturday while I was at the shop (you weren't there), the idle was VERY smooth....amazed me for sure. Can't believe a cam that big idles so well....are there secrets you can tell us on what you did with LS1edit?

Oh yeah, Cool video except the first song, couldnt hear the car idle much over the (blah) music. I've seen lou do those burnouts in person...I think he has some pent up agression

Jeremy,
Great video! The donuts in the parking lot reminds me of the ride Lou gave me in his car when I stopped in about 3 weeks ago. I hope anyone thinking about the X2 or X3 cam will see how well they behave with the right tuning. I love mine.

If you want to download the video again I edited out the background music while the car is idling.

Actually I don't think was my car, there have been a few others in and out of the shop though. As far as tuning the idle it's a matter of bringing the air, fuel, and timing into just the right balance.

I went ahead and pulled out the background music during the idle scenese if you want to download it again. Lou's official answer is that he is practicing for spin outs for World Challenge next year, but I think he is just a kid at heart having fun. Still there is nobody else I would trust to do that in my car than him.
