Default which cams sound like this

if any one's heard the beginning of hot for teacher by van halen id like for my car to sound like that any suggestions to what would get me close.

find something atleast 240 in duration and make sure it has a lobe separation around 102-106. i have a lunati solid in my camaro and its 249/258 with a 106 LSA and its pretty rumpty.

I'd just turn up the stereo.

You'll have a hard time getting the cymbol crash out of your engine...and if you do, you probably won't like the results.

that was great man and buying a cam for sound is no better then ricers buying a fake BOV noise. yes a cam adds power but picking a cam on sound isnt the way to go.

Anyhow, those would be the big split, tight lsa cams.
Look at the LG G5X cams--->
Also, the TSP231/237
the GMPP ASA cam
the TR230 or TR236

Actually, going tighter than 110lsa as mentioned above would definately give you that sound.

Hot for teacher eh? You can always strap on a drum set to the hood of the car and do solos at the staging lanes to pass the time between runs.

i hear ya on that ASA brother!.............But lately I have this voice in my head that says" TSP231/237 wooo souuu soooo sweeet. Hmmmmmm, maybe i could get some head, I mean heads while I'm at it.
