Default Spun a bearing!

So I have about 8k miles on my new forged engine. Spun a damn bearing!! The engine looks fine from what I am told...but needs to go to a machine shop to be checked. I dont have a lot of money to spend on it since I JUST GOT THE forged engine. So what are my options. What kinda money am I looking to pay to have this fixed? Like ball park?
Thanks!

OH..its a 2002 Corvette Z06 with H/C/I and forged bottom end.

Depends on the extent of the damage, and who's fault it is. Worse case scenario is you may need to pay for an entirely new engine. Most likely, if it is your fault, you would need new rods, bearings, and regrind the crank, if it isn't cracked. I'd say at least $1000.

The engine rebuild has a little over 3k miles on it. As soon as I heard the ticking I took it it. I didnt build the engine..a shop in NC built it. As of now I am told there does not seem to be any damage as far as they can see. I am hoping this all cost less then 1k..or I am listing my car for 15k as is! Thanks!
