Default Im ready to put together heads, get me started please.

I have been doing a lot of research and questioning and i have decided to buy a set of Bare 5.3L heads for the compression benefits. My car is an 02 with full boltons and cam. TR 230/224 .575/.564 110.2 LSA. I understand that the LSA without changing the cam will have a little to do with my head specs. I do not plan on running nitrous. I would like to get around 11.5:1 compression. Running good gas is not a big deal to me. This car sees about 30-50 miles per week with about 5 passes a month. With out changing the cam, what kind of specs should i shoot for with the heads. Valves, mill etc... If im missing something let me know. Thanks for all your input.

I wouldn't mill the heads any more than for cleanup. Got with 2.02/1.57 valves and have them ported. That's the only way to do it. Those heads need ported to work. They flow nothing like the 5.7's unported.

Dont do it. 2000RATA is right. The valves are smaller and flow less then the stock heads. IMO your stock 5.7's will outperform the stock 5.3's even if the compression is higher, especially with a TR230. If you gotta have the compression then get the valves and porting.
