Default oil restrictors?

When running a solid roller valve train in "Old School" SBC and BBC, people would install oil restrictors into the oil passages at the rear of the block to prevent excess oil from going up into the head (which was no longer needed due to the hydraulic lifters no longer being in use) which would cut windage and keep the oil down in the bearings.

Is there such a setup for LS1s?

nope

Gen 3's have a valve train priority oiling system, if you restrict the lifter galleys you cut oil flow to the bearings.

The only easy way to restrict the upper end oiling in the LS engines is by using solid rollers that restrict the oil flow to the pushrod or by using special pushrods with a small oil hole on one end. Either choice will help keep from pumping the oil pan dry on an extended high speed run.

Folks have been bushing the lifter bores as well, with a much reduced oiling hole. Just another option.
