Default Things to go along with cam?

Hey guys! I am going to be getting a cam installed and I want to do it all at once. So far my idea is to put in a hotcam, Pacesetter coated LTs with catted Y pipe, ASP Crank pulley. What other things would you recommend putting in while I have the cam installed? Thanks for any info!

PS. My goal is to get to 400 RWHP with stock heads, but I know that is pretty unrealistic, so I would be happy with 380 RWHP as well. This will be almost always a street car, and I want it to be very drivable and reliable. I have a 2001 TA WS6 M6. Thanks a lot!

besides from obvous(springs and pushrods), consider a new timing chain if you have over 40k miles.

depending on the cam,

400 is actually really realistic with stock heads on an 01 car or with an LS6 intake

400 is not realistic for a Hotcam. There has only been one person that I know of that hit 400 rwhp with a Hotcam and stock heads.

I would do pushrods, timing chain, ported LS6 oil pump, retainers, and obviously new valve springs. If you even plan on changing the rockers or to an electric water pump, I would go ahead and do that as well to save the hassle of removing them again later.

This is all what I did when I did my cam swap:

Springs
Pushrods
Timing Set
Ported LS6 Oil Pump
Spark Plugs
PCV Valve
!EGR Mod

Retainers are always good, but not required. If you get the double roller chain, you will need to modify the ASP pulley for it to fit. A little of the end will need to be machined down.

The ASP pulley doesn't always require modifying, but just to be safe, I would stay with the stock timing gears and using a JWIS chain.

Comp 918 springs
TR hardened pushrods
Titanium spring retainers
Yella Tera Roller Rockers
JWIS single roller chain
Ported LS6 Oil pump with new O-ring
