Have you checked with a mechanical gauge?

Thats where my car is driving is 75 or higher, idle goes to around 60. But this is with the original gauge also!

No, not unless you are starving the pickup. I would still check with mechanical gauge.

no it is not the gas, check with a mechanical guage, seems your sending unit is crapping out, that what mine was doing. but if you have a HV oil pump then its normal. mine stays around 55 at idle
