Default questions about resleeving a ls1?

i just bought a used block and my machine shop was honing it out to 3.905. turns out 2 of the cylinder walls have scratches in them. id like to resleeve the 2 cylinders so im not wasting money on the block. is this possible? and around how much would this cost?

It may be cheaper to find another used engine block. Be sure that your machine shop has the capability to do such a thing as far as re-sleeving goes. Most of the re-sleeving of the LSx engine blocks talked about on this forum are rather expensive. I'm referring to the Darton sleeved engine blocks and the other dry-sleeve blocks for significantly bigger bore increases. Not really sure that I run across anyone that wants to re-sleeve for a little bore, yet. Anyhow, good luck with the build, however you decide to proceed.

It would be way cheaper to find a used block, or just buy a new one.
