Default Melling pump with spacers...

Okay I assembled my engine last night and dropped it in the car. I have a 2001 6.0L built up with a JP double roller and a melling pump. I ended up clearencing the **** outta the timing cover and ran the spacers.

Now the oil pump gear kinda sits past the shaft on the crank timing gear.

Will I run into an issue with my balancer? Should I put it on the lathe and take of at least the thickness of the shims?
Or does the balancer not seal to the crank timing gear?

I am running a stock blancer for now also.

What you have done and seen is very common. You will not have any issues with you balancer.
