Default does milling heads add horsepower?

if so, how much power would i gain with stock ls1 heads that are milled .015?

milling heads will bump the compression ratio hence adding some power. how much power depends on the bump in compression and other mods.

my guess is youd gain more by throwing on a set of 243s then you would by milling stock 241s

Of course.


Its free horsepower really. You do need to be careful/mindfull that this can lead to PTV issues if you are running an aftermarket cam as well.
