I was wondering since im getting ready to install a TSP cam.Anyway Im wondering if I can get by without replacing the oil pump and timing chain?Keep in mind im doing this on a 19 year olds cash flow.Now im chaining springs retainers pushrods and stuf but im tryin to do this the best way I can or the car is not going to be running for a long time.

I would, hell I did with 40k on the clock when I did my cam swap. I was 20yrs old, so do it right the first time!

on a 98 i certainly would. do things right the first time. wait until you have the money for the chain and pump, only 75 bucks for a double chain and 130 for a ported ls6 pump before doing your install.
