Default has anyone put the tr236 on stock heads?

if you have tried the tr 236/230 on stock heads, i was just curioius what kind of power it was making. what were the mods when you made them and what is the best et you got out of them. thanks. i know there are a few out there somewhere. i was in at 345/358 before 12 bolt,tb, pulley so i should be about the same now with the offset of the 12 bolt plus the additions. im hoping for 410+rwhp what did yall get?

This is my 3rd Cam and 2nd set of heads.I gained 20hp/10tq over the TR 224.
I have dyno'd as high as 440hp.I have better records of what dyno HP I've lost with drivetrain mods.12 bolt= 20rwhp,Steel driveshaft=5hp,switch from 3.73 to 4.11=5hp.

My car stock went 104mph and now goes 120mph.There's my gain..

Default so cam first then heads later $$ wise????

so if all your bolton's are in place and your are thinkin' h/c mod and can't scratch-up the total loot for both, the cam & springs with oil pump-timing set-pushrods-fuel injectors-tune, will wakeup the engine big time.on an a4 car with 410's is the tr230 as big as you want to go for the street.will a cam with all bolt-on's get you 50-60rwhp??? any suggestions thks.

first of all if you dont have a high mileage car and still have good oil pressure. you dont really need a oil pump, or a chain for a cam swap. at most just get a jwis chain. and if you are running a tr230 with 410's in an auto your not planning on driving it all day right. and you dont need fuel injectors, but definatly tune.

not necessarily for heads, just that you will have a extreme setup with 410 gears and a 230 cam im getting a 236 cam on stock heads shortly with 410s but i have a m6 a auto will see some very bad gas mileage with that setup. what converter do you plan on running. and for a daily driver with a auto i would go the tr 224 112lsa with 3.73 gears and a 3600 converter.

few people run 4.10's in a auto because they help very little with a good converter over say 3.42's as far as et's go plus your gas gauge will move twice the speed. not a good trade off to most. and with 60k miles i would change to the jwis chain just for peace of mind for a small amount of money

that is a decent converter for now. should feel pretty good with those gears. i would eventually go up a little more once you get extra money and the 114 lsa is going to idle almost like stock if that is what you want. the 224 112 lsa sounds good and will put out more power. i dont like the 114, why go through the trouble for no sound imo. but thats just me. id say with some nittos and all the bolt ons you will see low 11's with the 112lsa and some good 60's +or- a little depending on location and driver.

make sure you do the springs, pushrods and possibly the retainers. if you call allen ask him about his 228/230 i believe. thats getting agressive again but it has had good results i heard. id stay around the 224 range for your daily driver. good luck
