yes, another cam thread (but please back your suggestions up with facts)
Decided to start getting the car back together after a long time down. i have been reading about the new EPS lobes. Its apparent that they are making some seriously good power. Interested in what you guys thought for my car. Its got the following:
01 trans am
LS6 intake
241 heads (valve job and bowl/throat blending)
th350 4200 FTI stall
4.10 gear in an S60
28 tall tire
weigh reduction (full a/c and heat gone, front sway, abs, cruise control, traction control, etc) couple hundred pounds gone.
Its a street car, with the occasional trip to the track. But I want it to get with the business when you mash the happy pedal. I dont really want to fly cut the pistons. I am open to milling the heads if you think that will be gain there.
Thanks in advance, Rodney Pierce

I wouldn't pull the heads just to mill and gain about 5hp, if they're off right now then definately do it though. I would recommend the same cam I got from geoff, 226/230 .592/.600 112+2, it's not too big or small for a daily driver and you should have to only rev to 6400rpm. Will still have great mid range and low end too and you should be fine with PAC 1518s instead of more expensive doubles that rob some power in the high rpm range.

Around here you will get plenty of nods for EPS and TSP cams. And rightfully so as they have earned their reputations. However, I like things a little different so I, under the advice of a very well known LS1 shop, chose a Cam motion grind. It is very similar in specs to what you just quoted from Pat G, but its a Cam Motion cam on their lobes which in my opinion will make the same if not more power. However, that would be bc they are a more aggressive lobe. Does this mean they aren't suitable for a street car? Of course not. Does it mean you may need to take a little more time in setting up your valve-train? Absolutely. The rewards IMO are worth it.

Im more for the custom grind stuff, even futral's cams. My last cam was a 226/230 .609/.588 from pat g. It made pretty good power. This time, im looking for abit more. Car ran 11.90 at 118 through the 6 speed with a 1.7 60 ft time. Now its a TH350 4200 stall car, so im hoping for abit lower ET's.

As a tidbit that most already know, Futrals cams are made by Cam Motion. The reason I think is because they are in the same neck of the woods, central Louisiana, specifically the Baton Rouge area. I believe they are local to each other. I would think that Futral's cams are made on lobes specific to what he wants, but don't know for sure. I bought a Cam Motion cam direct from them with their lobes. Cruise around their website and see what they have to offer under the LS section. Worth a look
