Default Cam and Stall questions

I am in the market for a cam. just wondering if i need pushrods and valve springs upgraded with the cam. also i have heard you should match your cam to the kind of stall you get. i want to get both so what combos have worked for you guys/ how do you match the cam and stall?

You'll match the stall with respect to the cam's powerband. The correct pushrod length you'll need can be found with a pushrod checking tool.

You have to change springs and pushrods. The bigger rpm cam you get the higher stall you will probably want. How big of a cam do you want? What are your goals? For example my car is a daily driver and I want a good dd and im looking to run low 12's high 11's and have good midrange power. So I'm going with a 3200 circle d stall and a 228r cam@112 lsa

Just find a cam with a power band that fits your needs and call circle d and they can build you a stall to work with the setup. I ghave a circle d 3200 stall in my 98 TA with 3.73's and a TSP MS3 cam and it drives great. A 3400 or 3600 would have been a better fit for racing but I didn't build it as a track car so the stall I have works good and is very streetable and still gets the car in it's powerband quick enough with the 3,.73's and gets ok mpgs for what it is.
