rocker ratio with stock LS1?
What is my stock ratio on 00 LS1 ?
Is there a set of higher ratio rockers that will "bolt on" without changing springs? Will this help performance for little effort and money - compared to a complete cam swap?
I have a street car with 3.73 , cat back and a good converter. I'm adding JetHot long tubes in the spring and want to avoid tearing the motor apart yet squeeze out extra power.
All opinions and actual accounts welcome!

Several companies (Crane, Comp, etc.) have bolt on performance rockers in 1.8 ratios (Or a little over that). No matter what, you're gonna have to change the springs.
When you increase rocker ratio it's just like putting a bigger cam in. With the limitations of the stock LS-1 springs, you definitely want to put high-performance springs in.
My personal preference is to go with one of the new dual springs out on the market. That second spring is the lifesaver if you have any trouble and break a spring. A little extra money for springs now can save a lot of money later for repairs!

So how hard is it to change springs in the car? What is the procedure? I've done this back in the day by filling the cylinder with air, removing the keepers/retainer and pulling off the old spring.
Is it that simple in an F-body LS1?
Almost seems if I am doing that and adding an LS6 intake - I might as well pull the front off and swap the cam while the getting is good! Cash permitting of course
