Default Valve train and cam help.

ok so heres the deal i found a set of heads of an 05 gmc 6.0L pick up. i have a 98 trans am ls1 with a lid exhaust and tune. made 335 rwhp. im going to do a cam swap and shoot for around 415. number one are these heads anygood because i cant beat the price. number two if they are good heads to use what cam and valve train do i use. this car is a daily driver in the summer. let me know.

Ok 1. your not gonna gain 80 HP from a cam swap not being rude, just realistic. What are the casting numbers on the head, Have the heads been ported? A stock valvetrain will hold 500 HP ALL DAY. i would put new lifters in with a new cam.

LQ4 motor 317 cast heads. does that do anything? and i didnt mean just cam. im doin cam heads full bolt ons and maybe harland sharp rockers and different pushrods.

317 are good heads,you need to mill them .I would keep the stock rockers and install some compcam trunnion bearings.get a push rod checker ,$20 and measure for the correct length push rod.maybe consider a torquer v2/3 tsp cam pkg ,or a EPS cam.get a ls6 intake ,you can retain your stock TB.
