Default AFR 205's

Well guys kind of a stupid question, but here it goes, I have a set of AFR 205's that have been worked on a little bit, and I planned on doing a build with them, Its going to be a little while before im able to come up with the intake and all of the other goodies, Im tired of seeing them lay around, im wondering what kind of gains I would get if I went ahead and threw the AFR's on my bolt on ls1! Or if its even worth it!

Thanks Chris!

IMO, there's no down side if your going to also install new lifters and trays while the heads are off.
Do you already have LT headers, P&P TB ?

Hi Chris,
Who "worked" on your AFRs?
Personaly with such a nice asset, I would only have 1 person "work" any AFR I owned.
Tony Mamo, otherwise known as getting your heads "Mamofied "

I would actually be pretty interested to see what would happen with just the heads, and bolt ons. Theres no reason you shouldnt just go ahead and throw them on now. Its not like you even have to touch the heads to do a cam swap, unless you go big and need to check PTV clearance. Like was said, just replace your trays, lifters, and pushrods, then down the road do your cam.

If your gonna throw the heads on an ls1 you might as well swap out the cam too. Then you'll get some power gains well worth it with those heads.

Looks like 37hp and 43ft-lbs at the flywheel with unmodified heads. Always thought it would be great to do all the bolt-ons and AFR 205 heads to see how far you could get with the stock cam, stock manners and close to stock fuel mileage.
